Hello Dancesport Enthusiasts!
 
We hope you’re enjoying the holiday season and looking forward to the new year!  We are looking forward to seeing you at the Provo High School Dancesport Festival that will be held in just 6 short weeks on January 29-30, 2010.  We have seen some incredible dancing so far this year and expect to see many more great things come to the scene in 2010.  Entry forms for the Provo High School Dancesport Festival are due January 20th without a late fee.  Please get them in as soon as possible!  Make sure to take advantage of the 2-day pass prices and table seating this year.  Here are the updated forms for the Provo High School Dancesport Festival.  For further information, please read the letter or call Angela Williams at 801-373-6550 ext 3372 or email her at angelaw@provo.edu.

The schedule for the BYU Dancesport Championships this weekend has been posted to their website. Note that the competition will begin earlier than past years on Friday at 10:30 am.

Because of a high number of late entries, the schedule for the Dancesport Classic at Hillcrest this Saturday has been changed. Some event start times changed to different parts of the day. Check the new schedule to verify the correct start time.

The following information from the BYU Ballroom department is for all high school Seniors, Juniors, and their parents. There is also a letter:

BYU Ballroom Preview Night Letter

Dear youth coaches,

As the BYU Dancesport Championship approaches we are also preparing for our annual BYU Ballroom Dance Preview Night for high school students. This event is a great way for us to get to know your students that are interested in attending BYU when they graduate.  In addition to an overview of our program those that attend can expect a packet that explains:            

• The admissions criteria and application procedures for BYU
• Expectations of those that participate in our ballroom dance program
• Guidelines on applying for ballroom dance scholarships

We will also be available to answer any questions that your students or their parents may have.

When:     November 13^th  immediately following the Friday evening session of the BYU Dancesport Championships      

Where:     BYU Wilkinson Student Center- room 3211

Who:     All Juniors and Seniors (and parents) who are interested in attending BYU and being part of the BYU Ballroom Dance Program.  We hope to see all coaches as well

Please call Eleanor by Monday November 9^th with the number of people that will be attending from your team.
