Julia Penate has provided the following information about Legacy Dance Studio auditions:
Legacy Dance Studio will be holding open auditions for 2014-2015 ballroom teams:
May 19th
6-7pm
Location: Legacy Dance Studio
1668 S State Street, Orem
No partner necessary to audition. You will be taught a short syllabus American cha cha routine and American foxtrot routine and will audition with those routines.
Ballroom Teams for 2014-2015
1. Homeschool Team (2 teams, one preteen and one Jr team, recreational)
**Wednesdays 1-2pm (1 hr/week)
**$29/mth
**will participate in 1-2 showdance competitions
**Coaches: Julia & Nicole
2. PeeWee (entry level, ages 5-9)
**Thursdays 5-6pm (1 hr/week)
**$34/mth
**optional technique class also 6-7pm
**1-2 showdance competitions for the year
**Coach: Nicole
3. Preteen B Team (entry level or intermediate, grades 1-6)
**Thursdays 5-7pm (1 hr technique, 1 hr choreography)
**$49/mth
**2-3 competitions in the year, showdance pieces
**Coach: Nicole
4. Preteen A Team (experienced, grades 3-6)
**Thursdays 4-6pm (2 hrs choreography)
**$49/mth
**Private partner / lessons highly recommended
**3-4 competitions for the year
**Ballroom medley & latin medley, 1 showdance piece

5. Jr B Team (grades 7-9)
**Tuesdays 5-6pm, Thursdays 5-7pm (3 hrs/week)

7. Advanced Team (grades 10-12)
**this team is for dancers on other teams such as high school teams, etc that would like additional choreography experience

Jr A and B teams include ballroom conditioning & fundamentals of technique. Then the majority of class time is working on medleys and showdance pieces. Preteen A, Jr A, and Jr B teams will compete at nationals in 2015.
