Dear Dancers!

Thank you for your support of the UVU Dancesport Festival 2018! It was a great weekend of dancing and competition.

We have collected a significant number of items in the Lost and Found. If you notice that you are missing some of your personal items, please feel free to contact me to see if I have them. I also have a box of Lost and Found from last year’s competition as well.

If I don’t hear from you before March 15, then the items will either be donated or thrown away.

Thanks again for your continued support of UVU Ballroom Dance.

2018 UVU Dancesport Festival Final Schedule

On Friday, doors will open at 4:00 pm and events begin at 5:00 pm. On Saturday, doors will open at 7:00 am and events begin at 8:00 am.

Dancers should be prepared to dance at least 30 minutes before their scheduled event.

“We have included the Open Youth Rhythm (C/R/Sw/B/M) on Friday evening.  Please contact us if you are interested in being registered for this event.  For ALL of the Open American Rhythm events, we have included Rumba as it will be included in the Rhythm events at BYU Nationals.  Please notify us if there are concerns and we will address them before the competition this weekend.  Contact us at cwilliams@uvu.edu.”

The heatlists are now available for the Utah DanceSport Challenge on February 3, 2018 at Thanksgiving Point. Additionally:

• Junior I and II Rhythm has been added as an event
• Table seats are still available
• Gherman Mustuc and Elena Grienenko have been added to the judging panel

The tentative schedule for Saturday for the Provo High DanceSport Festival this weekend (Jan 26 & 27, 2018) has been updated. Please see the updated Saturday schedule below:

Please note the parking and schedule information from Angela Williams:

If there are costume conflicts please be prepared to make some quick changes for your events.

We will open our doors at 11:00 on Friday for registration, numbers, and competition preparation.  There are events that have been closed and others that are close to being closed.  The late registration will open at 11:00 on a first come, first served basis.  Please be respectful of our registrar when they say that an event is closed.  We have a very late and long schedule and we cannot add more people to a round in regards to time and safety issues.

Please be aware that parking is limited until 3:00 PM when school is no longer in session. Also, private dressing rooms will not be available until 3:00 either.  There will be a girls and guys locker room available.

The best entrance is on the North West side of Provo High School.

Also be aware that University Parkway is under construction and is very difficult to travel.  Take an alternate route if at all possible.

We will have food vendors on site.  These include: Costa Vida, Waffle Love, Firehouse Subs, Jamba Juice, Zapples, as well as the Bulldog Concessions.
