Please see this announcement from BYU Ballroom and American Ballroom Company regarding Nationals this year:
“The Brigham Young University Ballroom Dance Program and American Ballroom Company are pleased to announce that for the 50th Anniversary of the United States National Dance Championships all U.S. National Amateur Championship titles, with the exception of the National Formation Championships, will be held in Orlando, Florida. The Amateur Championships will be held September 9-11, 2021 in a separate ballroom in the Dolphin Hotel, immediately adjacent to the ballroom where the Pro/Am and Professional events will be held for the United States Dance Championships (USDC).
It is anticipated that the National Amateur Championships will return to Provo in March of 2022, where they have been held for many years.
The 2021 U.S. National Youth, Junior, and Pre-Teen Formation Championships will be held in Utah in March of 2021. The Adult National Formation Championships will be held in Costa Mesa, California in September of 2021 as part of the Embassy Ballroom Championships.”

Please see the following information from Provo High Ballroom regarding the Provo High DanceSport Festival on January 29 & 30, 2021.
“Coaches,
As I’m sure you are all aware, this is quite an interesting year to be working in the ballroom world. We are still trying to finalize details with the district to be able to run the 2021 Provo High School DanceSport Festival on January 29-30 in a way that allows our students to be able to compete while keeping our dancers and their families safe. More details will be announced later, but I wanted to inform you what we are planning for group events so you would have time to prepare.

Please review the important information below about the Freedom Open Dancesport competition this Saturday. (10/31/20 – Halloween!) Some of this information is new and very essential!
“Important information for the Freedom Open Dancesport Competition:
1. Costumes: Traditional Ballroom attire will be required for the competitive events. Including all Open and Syllabus events. Audience members/Judges/Staff are allowed to wear Halloween costumes while attending the event if they choose to. (Please no costume masks, however face masks to help stop the spread of COVID are required).
2. Location: The Event will be held at Spanish Fork High School.
3. Schedule and heatlists: The Tentative Schedule is available at FreedomOpenDancesport.com. You can check your heatlist here.
4. Live Stream: We are excited to have DancePerfect be our livestream provider for this event. You can get details on how to sign up on our website FreedomOpenDancesport.com or on the DancePerfectLive.com website.
5. Waiver: Everyone must sign a waiver to attend this event. Please print out the waiver form, sign it and bring it with you to the event. Waiver forms can be found on our website FreedomOpenDancesport.com.
6. Tickets Required: Everyone (Competitors/Spectators/Guardians) must purchase an admission ticket. Your emailed receipt is your proof of purchase. Your name will be added to a list that we will have at the door. You can purchase your ticket online at FreedomOpenDancesport.com. Please purchase tickets in advance, no ticket sales at the door. The Youth/High school session is sold out, but you can watch on the Live Stream!
8. Health and Safety: Several Health/Safety guidelines will be followed for this event. All attendees are required to wear a face mask. Dancers will be allowed to dance without a mask while they are competing. Please social distance your family group from others at all times while seated. Please see the information below for several updates about the Freedom Open Dancesport Competition this Saturday (October 31, 2020 – Halloween!):
“1.LOCATION CHANGE:Â Â Due to current circumstances we have had to change our location. We feel this facility will better meet our competitive/social distancing and safety needs. We are so excited to be at this new venue!

2. Heat Lists will be posted on our website freedomopendance.com by Tuesday at the latest. Please check to make sure your events are accurate. Email us if you have any concerns.
3. The Schedule for the event will also be posted on our website by Tuesday at the latest.
4. Registration – any events that still have openings can now be filled by anyone interested in competing up an age level, or anyone that has not yet registered to compete. Registration will close on Tuesday night. No registration will be taken at the door.
5. Tickets -Any remaining tickets are now open to the general public. To purchase tickets go to our ticket page on our website freedomopendancesport.com. Please purchase tickets in advance. No ticket sales at the door.
6. Health and Safety protocols will be enforced. Masks are required except when dancing. Details listed on our website. Please read.
