The tentative schedule for the Timpview Thunderball this weekend is now available. The organizers wanted to share this message regarding the starting and ending times of the competition:

“We understand that this competition is starting later in the morning and running later into the evening than most high school competitions. This is because we are accommodating for all of the Junior and Youth competitors that participating in the ACT or Boy Scout Pow Wow in the morning. We apologize for any inconvenience this later schedule may cause you.”

The entry form and event dances for the 2012 Dancesport Classic at Hillcrest has been updated. Junior Latin will include the Paso Doble instead of the Rumba. The dances for that event will be Cha Cha, Samba and Paso Doble. You can download the updated entry form here:

Here is a note from Julia Peñate about Legacy Dance Studio:

“Hello ballroom dancers and coaches!

Legacy Dance Studio is moving its studio to a new convenient location on state street at the border of Provo and Orem (1666 S. State St.) and will have tons of floor space available for privates lessons and practicing. It’s 6000 square feet with 4 studios so there will always be a studio available for use. The big studio is very large, 31 X 50 feet with a very tall ceiling. Space will be available from 9am-10pm Mon-Sat. We will charge just $10/hour for coaches teaching lessons and $5 an hour for couples needing a place to practice. The studio is available immediately – let me know if you’d like to come see it: 801-318-6196 or coveydance@gmail.com. We will be renovating this month but it won’t interfere with using the studios. Help us pass the word!”

The tentative schedule for the Westlake Fall Dancesport Open this Saturday is now available. Doors will open at 8:00 am and the competition will begin at 9:00 am. All competitors should ready to dance 30 minutes prior to the scheduled time for their events.
