After another successful year with ISD’s Alpine Junior High Standard & Latin Competition teams placing 6th in the Nation at BYU Nationals and our 7th grade Showdance Competition team placing 2nd in Division I at Gem State in Idaho, ISD is now auditioning their teams for next year! In addition to these two teams, ISD will also now be offering Youth Medley competition teams and a Pre-Teen Medley competition team! In the past, our medley teams have had opportunities to work with some very prestigious coaches including professional choreography / clean up from Elaine Grenko, and Paul Winkleman! Come audition to join the fun!
**Audition prep classes will span 4 Fridays: April 21st, April 28th, May 5th, and May 12th and will be taught by Elaine Grenko. For more information, please visit our website. Â

Please see the message below from Chris Williams about the UVU Ballroom Dance Tour Team Auditions:
We are excited to announce that auditions for the UVU Ballroom Dance Tour Team for 2017-2018 will be held April 22, 2017 from 8 am until noon. Auditions will be held in PE 154 on UVU’s Orem Campus. We have some great plans for our summer tour in 2018! Please be prepared to dance Cha Cha and Waltz. You will then have the opportunity to learn some latin and standard choreography as part of the audition process. We will announce the results of the auditions later in May as we will begin rehearsals for the tour team in August.  We’d like to invite graduating seniors and those who will be registering for classes at UVU in the fall to attend these auditions.
Please come dressed to impress and wear appropriate clothing and shoes for the audition.

UVU Ballroom will have its year-end concert, Around the World, on April 28 and 29 , 2017 in the UVU Sorensen Student Center Ragan Theater. Tickets start at $8. Shows are Friday and Saturday at 7:30 PM with a Saturday matinee at 2:00 PM. You can purchase tickets online at the link below:

The schedule for the 2017 US National Amateur Dancesport Championships at BYU next week is now available. Click below to access the schedule. The competition runs Wednesday through Saturday. As always, dancers should be prepared to dance at least 30 minutes before their scheduled events.
