Become a Junior Olympian! We are announcing a brand new event for the AAU West Coast Junior Olympic Games. Wasatch Dancesport will be a qualifying event for the West Coast Junior Olympics. It is a youth focused competition with a well-known international sports league. The event will be held at American Preparatory Academy in Draper Utah on Saturday, May 12th. Northern Utah Dancers!!! Davis County Ballroom is having their 2018-19 Team Auditions May 5(Performance and Comp Teams) and May 12 (Medley Teams). We are so sad to see so many of our talented Seniors leave us, but we’re excited we get to add more new dancers to the DCB family!

See the information below about a summer team for graduating high school seniors directed by Giovanna Velazquez. Auditions are April 7 at 4pm and April 28th at 1pm at DF dance studio in SLC.
This is a program for all those Seniors who would like to prepare for college and would like to continue to have a ballroom team experience. A lot of dancers graduate high school and would like to continue to be part of team, but their college or career choice doesn’t provide a Ballroom experience. Or dancers graduate but would like to keep up their dancing so they can have a better experience as they audition for teams at universities like UVU or BYU.
So we created a College Ballroom Summer Team which allows dancers to keep up with performance opportunities. It also includes a technique class with dances and routines they can use to audition for college teams. We also are planning to have guest instructors as part of the training, so it’s a really good opportunity for all dancers who would like to keep up their Ballroom skills. Below is the audition form for those interested – please fill it out!

BYU Ballroom Dance Company in Concert will be on April 6 and 7, 2018 at the Marriott Center. Showtimes are at 7:30 pm Friday and Saturday, with a matinee Saturday at 2:00 pm.

See the information below from Chris Williams about the UVU Tour Team auditions on 4/28/18:
We have designated April 28, 2018 at 8:00 until 11:00 am to be our Ballroom Dance Tour Team Audition date for the upcoming 2018-2019 school year. Auditions will be held in RL 154 on the UVU Orem Campus. Dancers will need to come prepared to dance Cha Cha and Waltz. They will also learn some choreography during the auditions. Dancers may contact me via email for further information, or if they are unable to attend for whatever reason. cwilliams@uvu.edu.
