Wear all black and ballroom shoes if you have them. Dancers will be taught a short cha cha and foxtrot routine.

“Hello, Ballroom Directors and Coaches,
I would love to share the attached poster and information about our upcoming UVU Ballroom Dance Company Tour Team Auditions.
Date: Saturday, May 1st
Time: 8:00am-12:00pm
Location: UVU Dance Studios RL 154 and 153h
Could you please forward this to any High School Senior’s you have that might be interested in continuing ballroom dance at Utah Valley University!
We are planning on competing new medleys at the British Open Championships in May 2022 and are looking for high quality dancers with both individual competition and medley experience to fill open spots on our Tour Team.
Dancers should be prepared to dance a solo Cha Cha and Waltz routine, and will be called back for choreography after everyone has finished auditioning Cha Cha and Waltz. I know some of your dancers might be apprehensive about dancing solo for an audition, but please tell them not to stress, we know this isn’t how they normally dance and that will be taken into consideration in the audition. The University is requiring masks and social distancing at this time, however next semester we are looking forward to being able to partner together and prepare for Blackpool!

“Timpview High in Provo, UT, is hiring a 1/2 time ballroom teacher for the 2021-22 school year. The current coach is retiring.
Timpview has a 21-year ballroom program legacy with a dedicated dance studio and office/closet full of costumes.
Classes currently taught:
- Competitive medley team (after school)
- Varsity team
- Junior Varsity team
- Beg/inter social dance
- Possible additional class: Latin world dance (salsa, merengue, cha cha etc.)
Required experience:
- Advanced individual competitor
- Advanced show dance formation team member
- Teaching social dance methodology class and/or comparable experience
Preferred experience:
- Secondary school teaching license
- Advanced competitive medley formation team member
- Formation team choreographer

Below is important information and links for the U.S. National Pre-Teen, Junior, and Youth Formation Championships and associated couple events, held this weekend (March 12-13, 2021) at American Fork High School.
The championships will have 2 ballrooms on Friday, in the Cave and South Gym. Note the location when planning to attend and compete in events. The championships are divided into schedule blocks, and these are ticketed separately.
